The Guidelines provide tips, but now it’s up to all of us to support families, organizations and initiatives as they put the Guidelines to work.

Your help is essential. You know your community best and your community knows you.

Help spread the word about child development by using the Guidelines. Help us make sure all children start strong.

Here’s how:

    • Talk with people in your community about the Guidelines and why they are important.
      • Here are some talking points in English and Spanish to help guide your conversations.
      • Here is a webinar explaining how to communicate about the Guidelines.
      • Here is newsletter content you can customize and share with local blogs, schools, preschools, child care centers, service providers and other partners.
    • Reach out to your local media.
    • Talk with early childhood providers, educators and service providers about the Guidelines.
      • Here are some talking points in English and Spanish to help guide your conversations.
      • Here is a letter that you can distribute to help them understand more about the Guidelines. (You could also include this letter with materials – see below).
      • Here are materials you can customize and distribute to local child care centers, family child care homes, preschools, schools, physicians, dentists, afterschool programs, family resource centers, etc.
      • Here is newsletter content you can customize and share with local blogs, schools, preschools, child care centers, service providers and other partners.
    • Talk with parents about the Guidelines.
      • Here are some talking points in English and Spanish to help guide your conversations.
      • Here are materials you can put your logo on and give to parents.
    • Share information about the Guidelines on social media.
      • Here are some social media posts you can post yourself or share with early childhood providers or other organizations in your area.
    • Gather stories that show families and early childhood providers using the Guidelines.
